In working with the MD Anderson Regional Care Centers to provide education and share stories of survivorship with their communities, it’s really driven home the fact that cancer does affect all of us. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in women. More than 182,000 new breast cancer cases in women are expected to occur in the United States this year.
So, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’ve worked with MD Anderson to plan an event that celebrates what they do best – provide hope. This Thursday, we’ll be in The Woodlands Market Street Central Park during their weekly concert series to help MD Anderson illuminate the park in pink. If you’re in the area, join us anytime between 6-10 pm to see the park illuminated, and take a part of the “glow” of hope with you as you leave.
