MMI Agency welcomes Nikki Oliver, our newest Account Director. To learn more about our new teammate, we sat down and asked her a few questions. Check out her responses below.Nikki Oliver

Tell us a little about yourself.

I most recently worked at Procter & Gamble, as the Global Social Media Manager for the P&G Corporate Brand. I was responsible for delivering cross-category social engagement strategy plans, strategic social media counsel, and building earned awareness for brands and company initiatives, while protecting and strengthening the company’s reputation.

What do you like to do in your free time? 

I’m purpose-driven and passionate about making a difference in our communities through volunteerism. I believe the greatest achievements benefit others.

What drew you to MMI Agency? 

I’m constantly seeking real-time, data-driven (actionable) insights to develop and optimize brand strategy plans. MMI Agency has a proven track record of more than 29 years of success specializing in high-impact moments designed to create meaningful experiences for brands and their consumers. I’m very excited to join this talented, diverse team.

What inspired you to go into Marketing and Communications?

I started volunteering at the nonprofit organizations that had provided a hand up (not a hand out) to my family, as a way to show my gratitude and inspire others to give back. This eventually led me to discovering my purpose, passion and love for connecting nonprofits and brands with the people who love them through social media marketing. I encourage everyone to get involved with their local community, especially organizations that affect them on a personal level.

What in marketing are you most excited to see evolve over the next two years?

I’m most excited to see how marketers will utilize live-streaming across their social media channels to authentically show and tell their brand stories in a relevant way, reaching the right consumers at the right time with the right message.

What’s currently your favorite brand activation or campaign out in the market?

There are so many but if I had to choose one…it would be P&G’s Always #LikeAGirl social experiment.

As a former P&Ger, I’m proud to have helped cross-socially amplify this inspiring, purpose-driven campaign! So far, we’ve empowered more than one million girls and women globally to always take pride in everything they do #LikeAGirl.
